Shah
Rukh
Khan
who
is
in
Doha,
emotionally
choked
a
little
when
a
local
journalist
thanked
him
for
praying
for
speedy
recovery
of
his
daughter
several
years
ago.
Reminiscing
that
he
had
lost
both
his
parents
at
an
early
age,
King
Khan
said
the
prayer
was
one
that
his
father
always
recited
to
him
when
he
was
a
little
boy.
SRK, who was in Doha to mark the opening of ICICI Bank's branch at the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), swept the audience off their feet on Friday with his disarming smile, ready wit and down-to-earth demeanor.
The two-hour interactive session was peppered with songs, dance and give-away gifts, SRK interacted with the audience and invited fans to join him on stage. It was during one such interaction the journalist disarmed him by voicing gratitude.
Khan who lost his parents before he made it big in Bollywood reminisces about them often. In Doha too he reflected back to the bond he shared with his deceased parents.
He was quick to not linger on the rare exposure to his sensitive side, though. Like a true actor, the Khan switched emotions, challenging everyone in the audience to bank a million dollars each with ICICI if they wanted him back in Doha for a repeat performance.
