Down the memory lane with Aamir's leading lady

Those who would have caught the teasers of Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Par would have noticed a good looking 30+ something female who plays the mother of the child actor Darsheel Safary.

She is Tisca Chopra, a popular face on TV after acting in Balaji Telefims' 'Kahanii Ghar Ghar Kii' and also 'Sarrkar'. In addition, she has also been a part of popular plays like 'Mahatma v/s Gandhi' and 'Salesman Ramlal'.

But are you aware that years back she had made her big screen debut as a lead opposite Ajay Devgan in a film called Platform?

Then called Priya Arora, she went on to act in some forgettable films like 15Th August, Bali Umar Ko Salaam and Taqeerwala. Soon she tied a knot with an Air-India pilot and became Mrs Tisca Chopra. Later she took on TV and theater while occasionally dabbling in films like Hyderabad Blues 2 and Sau Jhoot Ek Sach.

Now she returns into the bigger scheme of things with Taare Zameen Par. In 2008, she would also be seen in Sanjay Gupta's Alibaug.
