Aamir
Khan
and
PVR
Pictures'
Abbas
Tyrewala
directed,
Jaane
Tu...Ya
Jaane
Na,
has
swept
the
youngsters
off
their
feet,
mainly
because
of
its
fresh
and
novel
approach.
The
Imran
Khan
and
Genelia
D'Souza
starrer
has
yielded
a
distributor's
share
of
over
10
crores
in
the
first
week
itself.
The
12
crore
film
(including
cost
of
production
and
pre-release
promotion,
minus
the
cost
of
prints,
post-release
publicity
etc.),
is
expected
to
yield
a
net
profit
of
around
30-35
crores
for
Aamir
Khan
Productions
and
PVR
Pictures.
The
satellite
rights
of
the
film
alone
could
fetch
a
whopping
15
crores!
The
debut
directorial
venture
of
well-known
writer-lyricist,
Abbas
Tyrewala,
is
easily
the
biggest
hit
of
the
year
so
far
(as
we
had
said
last
week).
Its
revenues
are
mainly
(and
predictably)
coming
in
from
the
multiplexes,
with
collections
soaring
during
the
weekends.
