Big B narrates Jodhaa Akbar

By By: Subhadeep Bhattacharjee

Amitabh Bachchan will lend his voice to Ashutosh Gowariker's historical epic Jodhaa Akbar. The movie is based on the eternal love story of Mughal emperor Akbar and Rajput princess Jodhaa Bai. The movie stars his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Bachchan as Jodhaa Bai opposite Bollywood heartthrob Hritik Roshan who plays Akbar.

Asked if he was doing the voice over because of Aishwarya was staring in the movie, Big B denied it and said he was the narrator in Gowarikar's Laagan too. Big B also added that he felt happy to be involved with such a huge project. Big B has done voice over for other movies in the past which include Laagan, Bawarchi, Shatranj Ke Khilari, Tere Mere Sapne and Parineeta

Ashutosh Gowarikar believes Jodhaa Akbar being a historical epic needs narration and Amitabh Bachchan has the best voice in the industry. He added that Big B has mass appeal and will be able to convey the gravity of the movie to the audience better than anyone else. The movie releases across the country on February 15.
