After a string of flops and forgettable performances, Arjun Rampal's finally seeing happy days in B-Town. Nobody felt that he could act well till Om Shanti Om and more recently Rock On and The Last Lear happened.
TV's also happening to him and that too a dance reality show. He's now going to judge 'Nach Baliye 4'. This spite of being a non dancer who has exhibited his two left feet for long! And that's not all. He's impressed Big B too.
Reportedly Bachchan Sr. couldn't stop raving about Arjun's performance at The Last Lear premiere, driving him to tears!
And he went and recomme nded Arjun's name for his next film to be directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The movie is likely to be a produced jointly by AB Corp and Anil Ambani's Reliance group
The period film tentatively titled Kunal Avadana is based on emperor Ashoka and his son Kunal. Big B was finalized to play emperor Ashoka in June.
Rumour has it that Dwivedi has been working on this project for about a decade. The talented filmmaker is still to make a breakthrough Bollywood film and is reportedly giving this one his best shot.
The story tells the relationship between king Ashoka and his son Veera Kunal. Kunal was blinded at a young age and left his father's kingdom. He returned after many years and demanded his son Sampriti to be made the successor. The movie's script is based on Buddhist scriptures called Avadana.
Looks like the tag of 'wooden actor' given by the critics is fast becoming a thing of the past for Arjun.
