Diya goes downhill

By Super Admin

Diya Mirza has been trying hard to find her feet in B-Town for almost seven years now to no avail. With forgettable films Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, Deewaanapan, Tumko Naa Bhool Paayenge, Tehzeeb, Krazzy 4, things have been going downhill for the actress.

As for cameos in Parineeta, Lage Raho Munnabhai, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd and Shootout At Lokhandwala, it was the lead actors who naturally took the cake. That's why she's been going around attributing her failure to the industry 'running on a herd mentality and it only considering the number of successful films an actor has and not his/her talent.'

Now that's an old story. Bollywood's number game is hit driven and it doesn't matter if one is a good actor or not. A case in point is non actress Katrina Kaif being right at the top. It's obvious that if Diya had gotten as lucky as Katrina, she wouldn't have complained so. But the fact is that she isn't and that's why she's busy cribbing now.

Diya is disappointed that one her off beat projects, National Award winning director Manmohan Mahapatra's Bits And Pieces opposite Rahul Bose is stuck for a year. She thinks people should have gotten a chance to see a different story with strong characters!

Now she has moving on to movies like Acid Factory, Johnny Mastana, Alibaug, Kisaan and Arshad Warsi's home production Kaun Bola which she feels closest to.

Diya is working hard to explore herself, to find a foothold as an actor and thinks that people will see a tremendous change in her upcoming films.

If she is really a good actress it would have been probably easier. But since she isn't, it still remains a big doubt!
