Logic always seems to be the last thing on any Bollywood filmmaker's mind. This is what we realized after we first heard that Kunal Deshmukh of Jannat fame who is making his next based on the Mumbai floods will be beginning his first shooting schedule in Cape Town. But is it really like that?
Kunal clarifies, "It is true that I am making my next, title Tum Milein, based on Mumbai floods and it will begin with the first schedule in Cape Town. But that is because the main lead character of my film played by Emraan Hashmi is shown to be studying there. The pre Mumbai flood portions were necessary to be shot there to establish his background. It is not that we will not shoot in Mumbai. In fact we have plans to erect a huge set in Mumbai itself for the flood portions but that shall be in February. Presently we are planning to begin the first schedule of the film from mid-November in Cape Town."
Tum Milein stars Soha Ali Khan opposite Emraan. The film was recently in the news when Esha Deol opted out of the film at the last minute. It will have Pritam giving the musical score and Kunal hopes to repeat the Jannat musical success with him. The film is reportedly based on real life incidents.
