Lagaan team comes together for a noble cause

The famous team of Lagaan has just proved the real meaning of team spirit! This is really a heart rending story of what miracles team spirit can do! Readers may remember that it's been more than seven years since the release of the superhit film Lagaan. Still, the actors kept in touch with each other.

That's why when they got to know actor Vallabh Vyas (who played Gracy Singh's father in Lagaan) requires money for his treatment of brain surgery, all of them set into action immediately and collected a whopping Rs 10 lakh for the same. Shobha, Vallabh's wife said that she spoke to Vallabh while he was in Rajpipla and that he told her that he will be coming back to Mumbai, only to leave for Chandigarh to shoot for a Yash Raj film. Since he did not come on that day, a worried Shobha called up the unit members. That's when she got to know that Vallabh was admitted in a hospital in Baroda and that there's a swelling in his brain, with surgery being an utmost need of the hour.

Reports also have it that amidst all this, Aamir Khan had called up the hospital authorities enquiring about Vallabh's health. Not just that, he even had called up Shobha and gave her words of confidence and courage to fight with the situation.
