The 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks have lead Madhur Bhandarkar to postpone the opening shooting schedule of his next film Jail. The Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer was to begin shooting in the first week of December but now the buzz is that it will begin in January 2009.

Madhur states, "We had plans to start the shooting of Jail in December but since the last week has been quite intimidating for all of us Mumbaikars, I therefore felt as a responsible citizen of Mumbai and India that it would be better to start shooting around the first week of January. I feel by that time our city will be back to normal. In a way it is right now too everything appears fine but how is it possible that when city is passing through trauma I begin filming my movie?"

"It's horrendous to see such destructions which have taken place in Mumbai and my condolences are there with the families who have lost their loved ones in these 60 hours of attack," states the multiple National Award winner reacting to the terror strikes.

Jail is hard hitting film that tells the story of Parag Dixit played by Neil Nitin Mukesh who is in jail due to certain circumstances and how he goes about telling the stories of several other inmates of the prison.
