Madhur Bhandarkar is not happy with the Censor Board after his upcoming movie was given an Adult-only certificate (A). What that means is the movie cannot be watched by youngsters below 18 years of age. The director hasd requested for a U/A certificate but the board asked him to edit certain portions of the movie which Bhandarkar refused to do.
The Censor board raised objections to certain intimate scenes involving Priyanka Chopra and Arjan Baweja and one more scene where Priyanka and Kangana Ranaut are seen taking drugs. The board members found the scenes unsuitable for general viewing and asked the director to edit those scenes if he wanted a U/A rating for the movie.
Madhur on his part felt editing those scenes would affect the continuity of the movie and thus was not willing to compromise. The National Award winning director felt such scenes have been a part of his earlier movies like Corporate, Page 3 and Traffic Signal. The movie starring Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Mugdha Godse, Arjan Baweja and Arbaaz Khan releases on October 29
