PM wishes Big B speedy recovery

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Sunday wished Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan a speedy recovery. He also spoke to his wife Jaya Bachchan enquiring about Big B's condition. Amitabh was hospitalised on Saturday after he complained of abdominal pains. Incidentally Amitabh was celebrating his 66th birthday on that day.

Amitabh has been suffering from incisional hernia which has been troubling him since the time he cheated death while shooting for Coolie in 1982. The doctors at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital hospital in a press statement said that he was responding well to the treatment and they were pleased with his recovery. He is likely to be discharged in a few days after certain tests are conducted on him.

The industry was shocked to hear about Big B's health and many of the film fraternity poured in to the hospital to see him. The industry has close to Rs 100 Crore riding on him and the most notable among them are Leena Yadav's Teen Patti and Ram Madhvani's Talisman. Meanwhile his fans all over the country are praying for his quick recovery.
