2008 has been a happening year for Minissha Lamba. She saw quite some critical acclaim coming her way with Shaurya which was followed by Bachna Ae Haseeno where she helped Yash Raj Films enjoy a much awaited box office success. Even as this Siddharth Anand directed film continues to run at theaters, she is getting ready to see yet another film of hers, Kidnap, get ready to hit the screens.
"Believe me, Kidnap is easily one of the finest scripts I have come across", says Minissha excitedly who has generally been quite careful in choosing the films that she does, "Shibani Bathija, the writer has come up with an amazing script. It is a dramatic emotional thriller and what amazes me most is to see the way relationships' surrounding each of the four principal characters has been intertwined so well."
Divulging more about the film, Minissha goes on to add, "There is high drama involved throughout the film's duration and the tension remains consistent. There is a strong emotional undercurrent in the proceedings as it shows the plight of a young girl played by me who has been estranged from her father since her childhood. Her parents (Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Malvade) are divorced and though she is a fun loving girl with an energetic persona, from the bottom of her heart she is still dying to meet her father whom she last saw when she was an 8 year old girl."
In the film she is kidnapped by the character played by Imran Khan.
"And this is where the film takes course of a roller coaster ride. A lot of emotional turmoil is on full display the moment this boy comes and kidnaps me. Sanjay (Gadhvi) has handled the subject quite well and I am waiting to see how audience reacts to Kidnap", concludes Minissha.
