Apart
from
his
acting
pursuits,
Riteish
Deshmukh
is
currently
designing
a
university
campus,
close
to
his
hometown
Latur
in
Maharashtra.
The
architect-turned-actor
says,
"Though
I'm
busy
with
the
completion
of
my
films
Sujoy
Ghosh's
Aladdin
and
Milap
Zaveri's
Jaane
Kahan
Se
Aayi
Hai
I
am
also
occupied
with
the
designing
of
a
university
campus
in
Latur.
My
architectural
firm
Evolutions
is
handling
the
designing.
I
don't
have
too
much
time.
Beyond
the
educational
complex,
I
have
taken
a
breather
but
yes,
the
project
is
exciting."
Riteish
says
that
though
he
loves
every
aspect
of
filmmaking,
he
misses
designing
too.
"Architecture
is
challenging
and
creative
from
the
conceptualisation
to
the
actual
finished
product.
It
all
depends
on
viability,
the
client's
style
and
the
budget
whether
it's
viable
to
spend
that
much
money
and
recover
that.
It's
important
to
understand
what
the
client
wants.
I
don't
believe
in
opulence.
Neither
do
I
like
to
recreate
what
was
done
earlier.
I
design
for
today
and
like
contemporary,
minimalist
designs.
I've
grown
with
time
and
have
become
calmer
in
my
designing.
Today,
I
prefer
warmer
and
more
soothing
shades."
Adds
the
actor,
"I
have
some
exciting
films
coming
up
like
David
Dhawan's
Do
Not
Disturb,
Milap's
film,
Sujoy's
Aladdin,
Sajid
Khan's
House
Full,
two
more
and
RGV's
Rann,
in
which
play
a
TV
reporter."
