Saif to join Kareena and family for Midnight Mass

Saif Ali Khan flies from Philly to join girlfriend Kareena Kapoor and her family for Midnight Mass at Mt Mary's tomorrow. Saif Ali Khan will be escorting the Kapoor women Babita and her daughters Kareena and Karisma to the Midnight Mass at a Bandra church tomorrow. The Kapoor girls have been attending Midnight Mass for many years as their mom Babita is half-Christian. Bebo and Lolo's grandmother was British national married to a Sindhi (Shivdasani).

Says Kareena, "Mom, Lolo and I believe in the power of the Mt Mary's Shrine. I am very religious and Christmas has always been huge in the family. We decorate the Christmas tree, attend the Midnight Mass and then have a Christmas dinner on December 25 replete with roast turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, vegetables and plum pudding for dessert and the traditional goodies that come with it. I am not non vegetarian so I won't be able to have the roast turkey but I can have the side dishes." This family orders their plum cake from Harrods in London as Babita loves it.

This year, Saif will be part of the Christmas celebrations at the Kapoor residence for the first time. Last year, both Kareena and he were shooting for Tashan in Greece. This year, the actress made it a point to be present in the city. She has also been thinking of special gifts for everyone in the family. Kareena bought a beautiful lace and satin princess dress with a glittering tiara for her niece Samaira, "Lolo asked me to get the dress.

It's very pretty and is pink and orange in colour. I am helping Samaira decorate her Christmas tree also. This year, I'm expecting Christmas presents from my parents as I haven't got anything from them in the last 10 years." she laughs before signing off.

Kareena is thrilled that she has beaten one of her arch rivals Priyanka Chopra as the hottest bikini babe at a contest held on indiafm.com. People voted for Kareena's bikini look in Tashan over PC's in Dostana. The two actresses have been indulging in a not-so-silent war. Bebo has been upset about Priyanka calling her 'senior' in every interview. Kareena says, "Today there's no junior and senior.

It's about doing good roles and being a good actress. The best actors of our country are above 40 and Kajol is the best actress around, regardless of age. It's all about your performances and films.

I am very proud of Tashan irrespective of it's B-O results. My bikini scene was the most talked about scene in 2008 while my size-zero figure made it to Parliament and the national economy! Today, it's about being fit and being in great shape. Nobody can pose in a bikini with a flabby stomach and an ugly body. Actors are also working on six-pack and eight-pack abs."
