Shahid
Kapoor
celebrates
his
birthday
today
with
old
friends,
choreographer
Ahmed
Khan
and
director
Lovely
Singh,
followed
by
a
night
out
with
dad
Pankaj
Kapoor.
Says
a
source
close
to
Shahid,
"It's
a
quiet
birthday
for
him.
He's
spending
the
entire
day
with
friends
and
the
night
is
for
the
family.
He
and
his
pals
will
go
for
a
drive
out
of
town,
have
lunch
and
catch
up
on
old
times." But
Shahid's
mom
Neelima
Azim
is
nowhere
in
the
scheme
of
things.
Neelima
had
blasted
Pankaj
and
his
wife
Supriya
Pathak
recently,
which
upset
Shahid
who
prefers
to
keep
a
quiet
front.
Director
Ken
Ghosh,
who
has
known
him
for
many
years
says
jokingly,
"Shahid
throws
the
most
boring
parties.
I
am
more
naughty
at
40
than
Shahid
is
at
27!
He
doesn't
even
drink!" Shahid
is
currently
having
a
blast
shooting
for
Ken's
film
Star
(tentative
title)
where
he
plays
a
singer-dancer.
The
birthday
boy
says,
"Recently,
we
shot
at
my
old
building,
Woodstock,
in
Lokhandwala,
where
I
used
to
live
during
my
struggling
days.
Ken
and
I
were
reminiscing
about
the
old
times
when
he
would
come
to
meet
me
for
Ishq
Vishk
Pyaar
Vyaar.
At
the
shoot,
a
huge
crowd
had
gathered.
During
Ishq
Vishk...
no
one
even
bothered
me
for
an
autograph.
It
felt
strange.
Life
has
come
a
full
circle
for
me
today
from
my
struggling
days
to
becoming
an
established
actor."
Ken
adds,
"We
shot
the
film
at
Shahid's
old
haunts
as
there's
a
very
funky
bus-stop
there
now,
which
wasn't
there
earlier.
Shahid
would
hang
around
Barista
and
Cafe
Coffee
Day
during
those
days.
But
what
really
touched
me
was
an
incident
that
Shahid
narrated.
There
is
a
grocery
shop
nearby
where
he
would
pick
up
stuff
on
credit
and
get
tense
every
month-end
as
it
meant
payment
time.
Now
he's
a
big
star
but
Shahid's
still
not
forgotten
his
roots.
He
tells
me
he
feels
strange
now
to
have
four
security
guys
around
him
for
protection!"
