It's
not
new
for
South
Indian
actors
to
cross
language
barriers
and
enter
the
international
zone
of
Hindi
film
industry.
The
gaudy
town
allures
more
and
more
South
Indian
talents
and
itself
gets
enriched
with
enhancing
glitz
and
glam.
Thus
we
have
names
like
Sri
Devi,
Hema
Malini,
Jayapradha
and
the
likes
of
them.
And
the
number
is
increasing
with
elapsing
time.
But
there
are
few,
who,
even
in
this
era
of
power
loomed
Bollywood,
do
not
give
any
extra
bhav
to
Bollywood.
Noted
dancer
and
actor
Sobhana
is
one
such
personality.
Sobhana
started
her
filmy
career
in
South
with
the
film
Champarathi
in
1972
and
till
now
she
has
to
her
credit
a
total
of
more
than
250
southee
flicks.
But
in
comparison
she
has
a
mere
number
of
two
Hindi
films
namely
Mitr
-
My
Friend
and
Apna
Asmaan.
And
now
with
Priyadarshan's
current
flick
Mere
Baap
Pehle
Aap
she
is
doing
her
hat-trick
in
Hindi
film.
The
demanded
yet
aloof
lady
Sobhana
came
to
Mumbai
for
her
dance
show
on
30th
August
and
the
required
publicity
for
the
Priyan
flick
that's
running
on
restlessly.
On
the
promotional
occasion
of
Mere
Baap
Pehle
Aap,
the
lady
doing
hat-trick,
Sobhana,
says,
"I
did
those
two
Hindi
films
because
of
their
social
subject.
But
I
am
doing
this
film
(Mere
Baap...)
because
and
only
because
of
Priyadarshan.
This
film
has
nothing
to
do
with
social
issues.
But
you
can
include
the
name
in
social
films
as
making
people
laugh
is
also
better
for
the
society."
The
funny
side
of
the
matter
is
albeit
the
film
is
comedy,
Sobhana's
character
is
quite
serious
and
she
is
not
ready
to
clear
the
cloud
a
bit
from
her
character
before
the
film
is
released.
Her
track
is
attached
to
that
of
Naseeruddin
Shah
who
is
playing
father
to
Shikha
i.e.
the
character
of
Genelia.
Though
Sobhana
doesn't
believe
in
language
discrimination,
her
Hindi
is
really
poor
and
at
the
same
time
she
is
not
ready,
like
other
heroines,
to
learn
Hindi
to
work
in
Bollywood.
It
may
not
be
possible
to
know
from
the
audience
about
how
they
miss
Sobhna
in
Hindi
flicks
but
it's
not
tough
to
know
about
Sobhana's
reaction
about
her
roles
in
Hindi
industry.
And
it's
very
clear
that
she
is
not
at
all
worried
about
her
career
in
Bollywood.
