Tips confident with multi starer Race

Race is all set to be the first multi starrer release of 2008 and the credit must go to its producers - TIPS - for bringing such an enviable line up of actors together.

It wasn't an easy task though. As per producer Ramesh Taurani, it was quite a challenge to have all the actors on board, especially when it came to matching their dates. With majority of cast comprising of Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu, Anil Kapoor and Sameera Reddy being busy with multiple assignments, it was sheer logistics that had to be encountered.

However, the producer strived to get this Abbas-Mustan thriller on floors since he truly believes that in the bigger scheme of things, multi starrers are always a safer option. With only a handful of solo releases working in the recent past, it made sense to go for a huge cast and ensure that the story had enough strength in it to facilitate the need for multiple stars.

Well, if initial response to the film's high adrenaline promos is to be believed, TIPS certainly seems to have got it perfectly right. Rest would be for the world to decide when the film releases all over on 21st March.
