Urmila Matondkar was without a release for almost a year. Her last film was Speed which was a delayed product and arrived in October last year. Before that, Bas Ek Pal (which came in September 2006) was the last movie which saw her as a leading lady.
However now it would be luxury of riches for Urmila who would be seen in not one but as many as two films and that too in a gap of hardly a fortnight. The films are Karzzzz and EMI which arrive on 17th October and 29th October respectively. Out of the two films, Karzzzz would of course be closer to her heart since she gets into the shoes of Simi Grewal who made the character of Kamini immortal in the original Karz.
On the other hand EMI appears to be an out and out Sanjay Dutt film. The film was supposed to be released a couple of months back but was pushed a little. Also starring Arjun Rampal, Malaika Arora, Aashish Chaudhary and Neha Uberoi, EMI isn't quite centered on Urmila since the film is mainly about Sanju baba who plays Sattarbhai.
Both Karzzzz and EMI are important for Urmila since her last big hit was Bhoot which had released way back in 2004. Post that Ek Haseena Thi and Naina went on to earn some money but were smaller successes nevertheless.
With a small time film called Non Stop Fun being the only other flick starring Urmila, she would certainly be looking forward to Karzzzz bringing a change in her fortunes.
