After his wonderful performance in diverse films like Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par and Ghajini, Perfectionist Aamir Khan is likely to add one more feather to his cap if all goes on well. Efforts are on to cast him opposite Titanic beauty and Oscar winner Kate Winslet in a film to be directed by Pan Nalin.
The film is based on the short story Toba Tek Singh by Saadat Hasan Manto, which exposes the comic situation inside an Indian mental asylum in 1947. Pan Nalin said that either Kate Winslet or Rachel Weisz could give justice to the role of Dr. Sophie. He revealed that he would meet both the actresses after the Cannes Film Festival to finalise the casting.
It is said that Aamir is impressed with the script and has shown keen interest in taking up the film. If he signs the dotted line, then you will see him playing the role of a lunatic in a mental asylum.
