Less
than
six
months
after
making
his
debut
as
an
actor/singer
in
Rock
On,
Farhan
Akhtar
is
back
as
a
leading
man.
Luck
By
Chance
is
the
film
in
question
which
sees
him
as
a
solo
lead
while
being
paired
opposite
Konkona
Sen
Sharma.
Even
though
as
producers,
he
and
Ritesh
Sidhwani
are
going
ahead
with
a
'subtle
promotion'
philosophy
while
letting
audiences
explore
the
film
by
themselves,
there
are
still
good
hopes
from
this
directorial
debut
of
Zoya
Akhtar.
A
fortnight
before
the
release
of
the
film,
one
still
wonders
though
if
Luck
By
Chance
is
a
happy
film
that
we
are
looking
at.
"Well,
Luck
By
Chance
follows
the
graph
of
most
movies
that
we
see",
says
Farhan
Akhtar,
the
man
of
the
show,
"There
are
happy
moments,
euphoric
moments,
fun
moments,
winning
moments
and
of
course
sad
moments.
As
for
what
happens
in
the
end
that
could
qualify
it
as
a
happy
or
a
sad
film
for
you;
then
I
would
say
don't
go
with
any
preconceived
notion.
It
is
a
film
to
be
watched
and
enjoyed
and
how
it
concludes
is
for
you
to
find
out."
Still,
one
wants
to
believe
that
at
the
end
of
the
day,
we
are
looking
at
a
commercial
outing,
right?
"Absolutely",
Farhan
is
quick
to
respond,
"As
I
said
there
are
light
incidents
and
then
drama
too
sees
a
resolution
to
it.
But
honestly,
I
can't
tell
you
about
the
end.
The
film's
essence
lies
in
the
question
which
is
asked
that
whether
'success
or
failure
is
what
you
make
of
it'
or
'is
it
what
others
tell
you'.
To
put
it
differently,
the
question
here
is
'Do
you
think
you
are
successful
because
you
too
genuinely
feel
so?'"
