Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has learnt one big lesson – that life is unpredictable. She went through a train of emotions when cancer-stricken British reality TV star Jade Goody invited her to her wedding on Sunday.

“Read an article on Jade Goody"s deteriorating condition... it disturbed me "cause the last time I spoke to her, she seemed very positive and we were all expecting that the doctors would be able to curb the cancer from spreading. This piece of news came as a shock - so I called her hoping it was only a rumour but she confirmed it. Jade being Jade shifted the topic to her wedding on Sunday and she invited me for it," wrote Shilpa on her blog www.shilpashettylive.com/blog/.

Unfortunately, Shilpa is not able to attend Goody's wedding because of her shooting schedule in Kuala Lampur. She is very much concerned for her kids Bobby, five, and Freddie, four. “It was a lot of mixed feelings - happiness, helplessness and extreme sadness. She wants the best for her kids and I hope Jack makes a good father to them," she wrote.

Shilpa has not lost all hope. She has turned to God to help out Goody. “I also hope for a miracle to happen for her children"s sake. My mom says prayers can make them happen. Hope God"s listening to mine and gives her the strength to cope with this pain. I have an empty feeling in my stomach wondering how life can be so unpredictable," she posted.

Well, it may be recalled that Jade Goody shocked the whole world with her racial remarks on Shilpa at the British reality show Celebrity Big Brother in 2007. Goody however apologised and Shilpa eventually won the Celebrity Big Brother title. In fact, Shilpa won lots of sympathy from the audience out of the controversy. The duo became close friends after the show and Goody even came to India to be a part of the show Bigg Boss 2, hosted by Shilpa. Just into the second week of the show, Goody was informed that she was suffering from cervical cancer.

Goody's health deteriorated since then, and now the doctors say that she has barely a couple of months to live. Following this, she has decided to marry her 21-year-old fiance Jack Tweed on Sunday.
