Govinda
recently
purchased
a
bungalow
on
the
outskirts
of
Kolkata.
While
most
stars
are
picking
up
properties
largely
in
Mumbai
and
Delhi
(even
Dubai!),
Chi
Chi
picked
up
a
house
by
the
river
Ganga.
Says
a
source,
"Govinda
has
been
making
frequent
trips
to
the
city
over
the
last
six
months.
He's
very
spiritual
and
wanted
to
buy
a
small
bungalow
with
a
bit
of
land
attached
on
the
outskirts
of
Kolkata
near
Dakshineshwar-Belur.
The
open
space
near
the
river
Ganga
is
one
of
the
main
reasons
why
he
has
bought
the
bungalow.
Govinda
lives
there
alone
with
his
Man
Friday
and
cooks,
reads,
makes
his
Ayurvedic
medicines,
watches
films
and
relaxes."
Govinda
admits,
"Yes,
I
have
bought
a
house
in
Kolkata
but
I
can't
disclose
where
it
is
as
my
privacy
will
get
disrupted.
I
adore
Kolkata
and
it's
of
great
importance
to
me.
I
have
always
felt
that
I
have
a
strong
emotional
connection
with
the
city." Why
a
home
in
Kolkata
of
all
places?
"Main
wahaan
rehta
hoon
jahan
mujhe
pyaar
mile…
I
enjoy
the
breeze
and
shanti
I
get
in
Kolkata.
Nobody
invades
my
privacy.
Whenever
I
have
free
time,
I
go
there
and
spend
some
time.
I
fly
down
and
drive
straight
from
the
airport
to
my
home
where
nobody
recognises
me."
Buzz
is
that
he's
doing
a
Bengali
film.
"No.
I
am
not
doing
any
Bengali
film.
I
did
not
find
the
space
I
wanted
in
Mumbai.
I
love
being
by
myself
but
that
doesn't
happen
in
Mumbai.
There,
I
am
always
thinking
of
my
career,
work,
money
and
other
material
things.
In
Kolkata,
I
can
be
myself."
Govinda's
next
releases
are
Banda
Yeh
Bindaas
Hai
and
Run
Bhola
Run.
"I
feel
as
if
I
am
always
on
the
move
and
running…
in
Kolkata,
I
feel
I
have
found
my
groove
—
finally.
I
am
at
peace
with
myself."
