John Abraham goes to the slum

By Super Admin

The internationally acclaimed film Slumdog Millionaire has made the slums of Mumbai very popular. Looks like the crew of John Abraham's new film Hook Ya Crook is amongst them.

Director David Dhawan, John Abraham, his co-star Genelia D'Souza and junior artistes shot a song for Hook Ya Crook at the famous Chikhalwadi Chawl at Grant Road.

The UTV Motion Pictures' movie has John playing a cricketer who resides in a chawl. In the song, John, Genelia and his friends celebrate the 75th year of the chawl and it's choreographed by Bosco. In the song, John does a number of tapori steps. Well, Johnny boy has his very own star power. He had previously shot at the same chawl a few years back for Taxi Number 9211 and apparently knew some fans there.

He had the residents waving to him and hooting his name. He obliged them by stepping out to meet them, gave them autographs, and had his photographs taken with them. The movie's next shooting schedule will be held in Hyderabad. We wonder if after this they plan to shoot at humble locations there too.
