Arjun said that the close circuit television camera footage has shown that Sharma, who is currently out on parole, had come to his pub along with Sahil Dhingra. He added that following the incident, he has cancelled the membership of Dhingra, who is the owner of leading apparel exporter Orient Craft. LAP permits only its members.
The police came to LAP following a complaint against Dhingra, who had sniffed into the pub after a tiff with the son of a senior police officer in another bar. They caught Dhingra but Sharma escaped through the rear door.
The Shiela Dikshit-led Congress government has come under fire after Sharma was found partying. He was granted parole on the ground that his mother was seriously ill and he had to attend to family business. On Delhi Chief Minister's recommendation to the Lieutenant Governor, his parole has been extended by 30 more days.
The state government has asked the Delhi police to submit a report on the incident.
