AR
Rahman
might
have
made
India
proud
with
a
Golden
Globe
award.
But
2007's
acclaimed
Taare
Zameen
Par
hasn't
been
so
lucky
at
the
81st
Academy
Awards.
The
film
directed
by
Aamir
Khan
has
failed
to
make
it
to
the
list
of
the
nine
films
short
listed
in
the
foreign
language
film
category.
In
the
past
movies
like
Mother
India,
Salaam
Bombay
and
Lagaan
have
made
it
to
the
nominations
list.
The
nine
short
listed
films
include
French
Cannes
winner
The
Class
and
Golden
globe
winner
Waltz
with
Bashir
from
Israel.
The
ones
selected
from
amongst
the
65
choices
will
now
go
for
the
next
round
of
voting.
The
selection
committees
in
New
York
and
Los
Angeles
will
then
pick
five
nominees
from
among
them.
The
winner
will
be
declared
on
February
22.
There
were
many
who
hoped
that
this
simple
film
about
a
boy
and
his
teacher
would
make
it
to
the
Oscars
at
the
Kodak
Theatre
at
Hollywood
&
Highland
Center.

is
about
a
child's
battle
with
dyslexia
and
how
a
sensitive
teacher
helps
him
out
of
the
situation.
Mr.
Perfectionist
must
be
pretty
disappointed
about
the
whole
thing.
