Uday is quite proud of the gym he set up at his home nine years ago, "Although it's not state-of-the-art, it has some great machines in the cardio and weight training stuff. It's in a separate room and was built within a budget. Years ago, when I made my gym, Hrithik would come and work out and he did this some time ago this year when his home gym was being renovated. We have been really old friends since our Bombay Scottish days.
In fact earlier when we used to work out together. Hrithik Roshan would lend me his bodybuilding and health books and magazines and give me tips on how to build a great body. Now we don't have much time to work out together."
Uday doesn't have a personal trainer like most stars, "I don't like trainers. I have a problem with authority. I work out for an hour every day, eat a controlled diet and ghar ka khana and am right now working on a leaner, more muscular body."
