Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is fondly called the Perfectionist but
he made a mistake during the making of his much-hyped film
Peepli Live. He didn't pay a musical group from a village
in Madhya Pradesh for the folk song he used in the film.
But Aamir showed that he is a perfectionist by taking the
responsibility for the delay in payment. He said that the
production house shouldn't be blamed for it, as it was his fault.
He regretted for the inconvenience caused to the band.
However, Aamir solved the issue before the media blew it out of
proportion. He sent his production manager to the village to invite
the band to Mumbai and took the permission for the use of its song.
He said that he should have done that long before but slipped his
mind due to his busy schedule.
Adding more spice to the scene, another report surfaced that the
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) asked the actor for the use of the
song to campaign against the price rise. Aamir admitted that his
office received the request but turned it down, as they are not
into song-selling business.
Peepli Live directed by debutante Anusha Rizvi is about
the pledge of the formers and the great divide between the rural
and urban society. It features Omkar Das Manikpuri and Raghubir
Yadav in the lead roles and is slated for release on August 13.
