Bollywood
superstar
Amitabh
Bachchan
has
been
immortalised
at
the
Madame
Taussauds.
This
time,
a
painting
of
the
actor
has
made
its
way
to
the
Art
HK
10
exhibition,
which
would
be
there
till
Sunday.
Australian
filmmaker
Baz
Luhrmann
took
his
picture
last
year
and
renowned
Aussie
artist
Vincent
Fantauzzo
painted
it.
Baz
and
Vincent
toured
India
last
year
in
response
to
the
attacks
on
Indians
in
Australia.
It
was
during
the
trip
that
Baz
took
Amitabh"s
picture
and
Vincent
painted
it
for
the
Art
HK
10
show
in
Hong
Kong.
The
portrait
of
the
actor
is
one
of
the
155
top
galleries
of
29
nations
participating
in
the
exhibition.
Big
names
in
the
field
of
art
across
the
world
are
expected
to
attend
the
event.
“Vincent"s
portraiture
tends
to
be
about
reflecting
iconic
people
in
different
stages
of
their
career.
Amitabh
Bachchan,
in
my
opinion,
is
probably
a
greater
force
than
any
Hollywood
actor
has
ever
been.
I
was
struck
by
his
level
of
peace
and
spirituality," The
Times
of
India
quoted
Baz
as
saying.
“He"s
more
that
just
an
actor
—
to
a
lot
of
people,
he"s
a
leader
and
someone
of
influence.
He
has
a
responsibility
to
those
that
worship
him
as
this
icon,"
added
Vincent.
Baz
is
also
planning
to
exhibit
the
painting
of
other
Bollywood
actors
like
Shahrukh
Khan
and
Hrithik
Roshan
at
other
art
fairs.
It
may
be
recalled
that
Vincent
painted
Hollywood
actor
Heath
Ledger
before
he
passed
away.
