Bollywood
megastar
amitabh
bachchan
is
busy
shooting
for
the
second
part
of
the
advertisements
for
Gujarat
Tourism.
For
this,
the
star
had
to
walk
barefoot
and
spin
the
charkha
(spinning
wheel)
at
the
'Sabarmati
Ashram" of
Mahatma
Gandhi
in
Ahmedabad.
He
is
the
brand
ambassador
for
the
state
of
Gujarat.
The
'Sabarmati
Ashram" is
the
place
from
where
the
values
like
non-violence,
sacrifice,
and
resolve
were
born
for
fighting
the
freedom
of
our
country.
According
to
Mr.
Bachchan,
they
had
a
feeling
of
serenity
and
peace
as
they
entered
the
Ashram.
Sharing
this
experience
on
his
blog,
Big
B
posted
that
he
walked
barefoot
after
removing
his
shoes
by
the
road
even
when
others
did
not.
Bachchan
said
that
he
couldn"t
resist
walking
barefoot
even
though
it
was
not
required.
He
added
that
he
was
prompted
to
do
this
because
of
the
sanctity
and
the
purity
of
the
premises.
Speaking
about
spinning
experience,
amitabh
bachchan
said
that
he
sat
with
an
inmate
of
the
trust
who
looks
after
the
ashram
as
he
was
spinning
the
'charkha"
to
produce
fibre
for
khadi.
The
megastar
even
tried
to
spin
some
fibre
himself
with
the
'charkha".
Big
B
found
the
process
of
weaving
the
thread
very
simple
but
intricate.
