“The region, the people, the place , the visuals … the air .. grows within you. The air of Gujarat. With each breath the colours and the vibrancy fill you up with an energy that I have not experienced in the recent past. And we have barely scratched the surface yet," he wrote on his blog.
Amitabh went on to say that Prag Mahal is a still a wonderful in spite of the destruction done by the earthquake a few years ago. “Exquisite ! Even in its ruinous condition, worsened by the devastating earth quake that destroyed the entire city of Bhuj. Taking special interest in the renovation of the almost-ruined palace, the superstar had spoken to the concerned department of Gujarat on the need of restoring it. “I spoke to the Secretary Tourism, Mr Vipul Mitrra who accompanies us throughout, if something could be done to preserve this elegance. Staff that has remained through the ages at the palace still works here and graciously welcomes all. A wonder then to find such architectural finesse in an area which gets primarily identified as arid and dry," he said.
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently busy shooting for an ad-film in Bhuj city to promote Gujarat tourism, seems to have fallen in love with the place. He is all praise for its people and its visuals. And he admires the 19th century palace Prag Mahal.
