Anil
Kapoor
and
daughter
Sonam
Kapoor,
who
are
in
London
to
promote
their
home
production
Aisha,
bonded
with
Karan
Johar.
The
producer-director,
who
is
also
there,
had
dinner
with
the
duo
at
Nobu,
an
upscale
restaurant.
The
senior
actor
and
KJo
became
close
since
the
time
Sonam
was
signed
for
Dharma
Productions'
I
Hate
Luv
Storys.
His
younger
daughter
Rhea
has
been
an
AD
on
some
Dharma
films.
Sonam
is
currently
on
a
two-day
break
from
shooting
Pankaj
Kapoor's
Mausam
in
Scotland.
When
Anil
heard
Karan
was
also
in
London,
he
invited
him
out
to
dinner.
The
fashionable
director-producer
turned
up
and
brought
a
branded
carry-on
bag
as
a
gift
for
his
host.
A
source
adds,
"The
Kapoor
papa
and
daughter
caught
up
after
weeks
of
being
apart.
The
last
time
they
met
was
in
Scotland
when
he
had
flown
down
for
her
birthday
(June
9).
Karan
and
Sonam
were
meeting
after
the
release
of
IHLS,
so
there
was
a
lot
to
catch
up
on.
"
Talking
about
the
father
and
daughter
promoting
Aisha,
a
source
says,
"Sonam
is
getting
tremendous
international
exposure
because
of
Anil's
global
status.
They
have
been
interviewed
by
London's
premier
media
people
including
those
from
CNN,
BBC
and
Sunday
Times."
Karan
Johar
says,
"Anil,
Sonam
and
I
met
for
dinner.
Anil
is
my
friend.
He
had
admired
a
bag
I
was
carrying
so
I
gifted
him
a
similar
one."
Incidentally,
Shahrukh
Khan,
also
in
UK
filming
his
sci-fi
flick
R.a.1
,
wasn't
part
of
this
group.
