Few
days
ago,
there
was
news
in
media
that
Danone
the
World's
No.
1
dairy
company
had
roped
in
the
world
beauty
Aishwarya
Bachchan
as
its
Indian
Brand
Ambassador.
Later,
the
publicist
of
the
actress
dismissed
the
news
saying
that
Aishwarya
has
not
signed
any
such
deal
with
Danone.
He
even
accused
the
company
of
being
unprofessional
for
using
the
actress
name
to
establish
themselves
in
India.
Here
is
the
official
statement
from
Danone
This
is
with
reference
to
the
statement
issued
by
Ms.
Aishwarya
Rai's
publicist
'Aishwarya
denies
endorsing
Danone'
on
30th
August.
Danone
quashes
this
erroneous
claim
by
the
publicist
which
blatantly
rebukes
the
brand
Danone.
The
publicist
never
approached
the
brand
and
such
a
statement
has
caused
irreparable
reputational
harm
and
damage
to
Danone's
business
goodwill.
The
sequence
of
events
started
to
occur
after
irresponsible
reportage
on
23rd
August
by
a
Bollywood
portal
www.bollywoodhungama.com
which
reported
that
Aishwarya
Rai
Bachchan
had
been
signed
up
as
brand
ambassador
of
Danone
without
any
confirmations
with
Danone
or
the
actress
Aishwarya
Rai.
Danone
would
like
to
state
and
inform
all
its
stakeholders,
consumers
and
patrons
that
it
never
approached
Ms
Aishwarya
Rai
for
any
of
its
brands
and
has
no
intentions
of
doing
so
going
forward.
Danone
is
World's
No.
1
Dairy
company
and
functions
under
independent
dairy
operations
in
India.
Danone
India
has
so
far
launched
three
products:
plain
yogurts-
Danone
Dahi
and
a
range
of
flavoured
yogurts
(strawberry,
mango
and
vanilla),
in
a
phased
manner
in
Pune
and
Maharashtra.
Danone
is
committed
to
bring
health
through
food
to
as
many
people
as
possible
and
as
a
part
of
this
core
thought,
all
our
products
are
positioned
in
a
manner
to
endorse
our
brand
