Last week, Hrithik Roshan shot for Main Krishna Hoon (MKH), a 3-D animation-cum-live action flick (ala My Friend Ganesha) produced by spot boy Nandan Mahato. Although Mahato has produced a few Bhojpuri films, this is his first Hindi film. MKH revolves around a child.

Nandan started out in the industry as Juhi Chawla's spot boy. Incidentally, she plays the main lead in the film. After she got married, Mahato joined Hrithik's staff and has been with him for the last ten years, since Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.

Nandan says, "I developed back pain and my doctor advised bed rest. I was stressed about what I should do. I tried to direct some Bhojpuri films but there were some problems. I was depressed when someone suggested that I should talk to Hrithik and other big stars and try to make a Hindi film."
He then approached Roshan Jr, who gave him the green signal to start the film. "Hrithik is like God to me. He flew in to Hyderabad for a day where I am shooting just to shoot for my film. He plays himself in the film and didn't charge me anything.
He's a good person and the most down-to-earth star I have ever met. I have never had any problems with him. Whenever we would shoot out of town or abroad he would ask all of us to join him for lunch or dinner wherever he would go. His support means a lot to me. Hrithik mujhe duaaen de ke gaye."
"It'll be a day to remember! Nandan toiled for me for 10 years, served me, picked up my bags and was the hardest working spot boy/ assistant ever! So it was a pleasure to toil for him! Goes to show what an honest hardworking man can achieve in life. The only reason he is where he is today is cause of the goodwill he earned from the industry even as a spot boy!"
Kat's On, Too!
Katrina Kaif's hairdresser Pomilla, the film's co-producer has roped in the actress for a special appearance. Nandan says, "All the stars are doing it for free. When Pomilla asked Katrina if she would be a part of our film she immediately agreed. While Juhi is still shooting in Hyderabad Katrina's portion is still to be shot."
