After
more
than
three
years,
these
off-screen
lovers
will
share
screen
space
again.
Konkona
Sen
Sharma
and
Ranvir
Shorey
will
play
the
lead
roles
in
Amitabh
Verma's
untitled
romantic
suspense
thriller.
The
couple
is
currently
acting
in
the
play
The
Blue
Mug.
This
will
be
song
recordist
Amitabh
Verma's
debut
film.
Amitabh,
who
wrote
for
the
National
Award-winning
(Best
Film
on
Social
Issues)
Antardwand
(2007)
says,
"Though
Ranvir
and
Konkona
came
earlier
in
Rajat
Kapoor's
Mixed
Doubles
and
Madhur
Bhandarkar's
Traffic
Signal
(2007)
they
were
fleeting
appearances
and
were
not
really
cast
together
as
a
proper
pair.
I
have
worked
with
Ranvir
in
films
and
have
written
a
song
for
Ugly
Aur
Pagli
(a
film
Shorey
starred
in)
and
narrated
my
script
to
him.
Ranvir
liked
it
because
he
didn't
have
to
do
comedy
and
because
it
was
different
and
said
yes."
Initially,
Amitabh
had
decided
to
approach
another
actress
for
the
lead
role
opposite
Ranvir.
But,
he
says,
he
got
greedy
when
Ranvir
said
yes.
"I
like
Ranvir
and
Konkona
as
actors
and
also
think
they
share
a
good
chemistry
which
can
be
translated
on
screen.
I
told
Ranvir
to
pass
on
the
script
to
Konkona
but
Ranvir
warned
me
that
their
tastes
differ
and
she
might
say
no.
Ten
days
later,
Konkona
got
back
saying
she
will
do
the
film.
She
liked
the
script."
The
film
will
be
shot
in
Alibaug
and
goes
on
floors
in
June.
Says
Amitabh,
"Ranvir
and
Konkona
will
be
styled
differently
in
the
film.
Konkona
is
very
particular
about
her
looks
and
has
her
designer
on
board
to
discuss
what
she
will
like
in
the
film."
