theatre
owners
have
withdrawn
the
advance
bookings
of
Shahrukh
Khan's
My
name
is
Khan
in
Mumbai.
Multiplex
chains
like
PVR,
Big
Cinemas,
Adlabs,
Fun
Cinemas
and
Cinemax,
and
single
screen
theatres
in
the
city
have
stopped
advance
booking
of
the
film.
It
is
expected
to
open
at
4.00
pm
today
but
nothing
is
certain.
Demanding
Shahrukh
to
apologise
for
favouring
the
inclusion
of
Pakistani
cricketers
in
the
IPL,
the
Shiv
Sena
activists
on
Tuesday
protested
outside
the
theatres
and
vandalised
screens.
The
police
said
that
1,023
Sainiks
have
been
arrested
in
the
last
24
hours
for
protesting
against
the
film.
955
of
them
were
picked
up
under
the
preventive
action
while
the
rest
were
put
behind
bars
for
different
cases.
The
city
police
are
ready
to
take
on
the
activists
and
no
leave
would
be
granted
owing
to
the
crisis.
They
have
assured
full
security
to
the
theatres
screening
My
Name
is
Khan.
Meanwhile,
the
Shiv
Sena
has
intensified
its
threat
to
ban
the
film
in
the
city.
