Phoonk
was
scary.
Phoonk
2
promises
to
be
scarier.
That's
what
its
lead
man
Sudeep
(last
seen
in
RGV's
Rann)
and
Phoonk
2
director
Milind
Gadagkar
feel.
"While
Phoonk
was
more
of
a
supernatural
thriller,
with
black
magic
as
the
backdrop,
Phoonk
2
is
a
horror
film
with
a
ghost
ruining
the
peace
of
the
family
that
shifts
to
a
new
town," director
Milind
Gadagkar
states.
Milind,
who
had
penned
Phoonk,
was
entrusted
the
responsibility
of
directing
its
sequel
the
moment
Ram
Gopal
Varma
heard
the
storyline.
"I
have
not
assisted
anyone,
but
being
the
writer
of
Phoonk
and
attending
its
shoot
gave
me
an
insight," he
divulges.
Sudeep
adds,
"A
lot
of
people
felt
that
Phoonk
didn't
give
them
the
jitters.
It
wasn't
scary
enough.
But
Milind's
written
material
as
also
the
way
he
has
executed
the
subject
will
scare
the
living
daylights
out
of
you."
So
is
there
a
possibility
of
Phoonk
3?
"If
Phoonk
2
works,
yes.
Everything
boils
down
to
how
the
audience
accepts
the
second
part.
If
they
are
receptive,
the
third
part
will
follow,"
Sudeep
states.
