It's
a
busy
time
for
Vivek
Oberoi,
with
a
release
around
the
corner,
but
he
still
managed
to
find
time
to
attend
the
wedding
of
one
of
his
fans
in
Punjab
a
couple
of
days
ago.
It
is
learnt
that
Vivek
took
a
break
from
his
promotions
to
attend
the
wedding
of
his
fan
Chandan
in
Ferozepur,
Punjab.
The
groom-to-be
has
been
in
touch
with
the
actor
for
many
years.
Old
connection
Around
the
time
Company
and
Road
released,
Vivek
received
a
call
from
Punjab.
Chandan's
mother
called
to
say
that
her
son,
who
hero-worships
him
had
lost
his
dad
and
was
finding
it
hard
to
cope.
She
requested
VO
to
speak
to
him
and
motivate
him.
He
obliged
and
they
kept
in
touch
over
the
years.
Vivek
told
us
from
Ferozepur
on
Sunday,
"I
have
always
had
a
special
and
different
kind
of
connect
with
all
my
fans.
Chandan
may
have
been
a
fan
at
one
time
but
today
he's
like
family,
so
when
he
said
I
had
to
be
present
at
his
wedding
because
I
am
like
his
elder
brother,
I
couldn't
refuse."
For
'family'!
Vivek
continues,
"I
feel
responsible
towards
Chandan
and
am
very
happy
that
he's
doing
so
well
today.
Today
he's
the
VP
of
an
internet
firm.
It's
been
tough
for
me
because
I'm
travelling
so
much.
Tomorrow
morning,
I
drove
down
after
the
reception
to
the
Mansa
Devi
temple
and
then
have
to
fly
back
to
Mumbai
for
an
event.
But
time
is
not
important,
when
it
comes
to
family.
Right
now,
I
am
enjoying
a
huge
glass
of
lassi
at
this
Punjabi
dhaba
(see
pic
alongside)
on
the
highway..."
Oberoi
Jr
says
all
his
fans
connect
to
him
on
different
levels.
"Right
from
flying
down
to
meet
me
from
various
parts
of
India
to
record
songs
on
Twitter
and
passing
them
on
to
me.
Once
when
I
tweeted
that
I
have
trouble
sleeping,
someone
recorded
a
lullaby
and
sent
it
to
me.
Recently,
a
fan
of
mine
came
down
from
UP
to
meet
me
at
my
home.
He
was
super
excited
to
meet
me
and
he
gave
me
a
bunch
of
flowers.
I
found
that
very
sweet."
