After
facing
protests
from
Republican
Party
of
India
(RPI)
for
anti-Dalit
content,
Prakash
Jha's
film
Aarakshan
has
once
again
come
under
the
brunt
of
Nationalist
Congress
Party
(NCP).
Senior
NCP
cabinet
minister
Chhagan
Bhujbal
on
Wednesday
announced
an
agitation
to
protest
against
the
anti-reservation
policy
in
the
forthcoming
Amitabh
Bachchan
starrer
film
Aarakshan.
The
minister
for
public
works
department
in
the
Democratic
Front
government
Bhujbal,
announced
that
his
social
outfit
Mahatma
Phule
Samata
Parishad,
will
launch
agitation
against
Aarakshan
to
prevent
any
motive
of
imparting
anti-reservation
policy
through
the
film.
Bhujbal
leading
the
cause
against
the
Other
Backward
Castes
(OBC)
in
Maharashtra
said
(DNA
reports),
“At
the
outset
I
would
like
to
state
that
I
have
not
seen
the
film.
But
if
any
body
tries
to
use
his/her
freedom
to
initiate
any
campaign
against
reservation
which
encompasses
almost
80%
of
the
total
population,
they
would
be
given
a
befitting
reply."
However,
he
emphasised
that
the
agitation
will
be
held
out
to
convey
the
message
in
a
non-violent
manner.
Bhujbal
who
has
always
supported
that
the
backward
and
suppressed
sections
of
the
society
wants
to
cease
all
means
that
may
affect
the
present
reservation
policy
in
India.
Aarakshan,
meaning
reservation
is
a
film
by
ace
director
Prakash
Jha
and
stars
Amitabh
Bachchan,
Saif
Ali
Khan,
Deepika
Padukone,
Prateik
Babbar
in
the
leading
roles.
The
film
which
is
slated
for
an
August
12
release,
has
sparked
a
lot
of
protest
from
the
different
political
parties.
