Akbar Khan roped in to play Sadam Hussein

Multi-faceted Akbar Khan is all set to play the role of late Iraq dictator Sadam Hussein in the upcoming Bollywood film From President To Prisoner. Suresh Kohli announced the news that he has roped in the actor to play the lead role in the film.

Suresh Kohli has said that when the thought came up about the character, he took the actor's photo and compared it with Sadam Hussein's snap. Reports add that it matched and resembled so much that the director without a second thought decided to cast him in the film.

Talking about the role, Akbar Khan said, “The world opinion on Saddam Hussein is divided into two parts. For half the world he was a hero and for the other half he was a villain. I am looking forward to playing this role".

From President To Prisoner is the screen adaptation of 'Safar Zindagi Ka' written by Aziz Burney. The movie will hit the floors in September 2011 and the major parts of the shooting will be held in Iraq.
