Akshay Kumar assures his support to Gujarat CM Narendra Modi

Actor Akshay Kumar, who is busy promoting his upcoming movie Desi Boyz, met Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi yesterday. During his courtesy visit, the Bollywood hunk has assured his support to the sport events 'Khel Mahakumbh-2011,' which is organised by the state government.

The Desi Boyz star, who is known for his skills in martial arts, has expressed his readiness to be present at the inaugural function of the sport events. "Akshay Kumar, who paid a courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, said that he will remain present on the inaugural function of Khel Mahakumbh-2011," PTI quotes an official statement said.

In the press release, Akshay Kumar also says, "I am impressed by the far-sighted planning of the Gujarat CM, and efforts made by the government here to inculcate sportsman spirit amongst children and youths."
