Ameesha Patel turns businesswoman

Ameesha Patel is the new Bollywood actress to join the IPL bandwagon after actresses Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty. Ameesha is expected to form a team for IPL along with business partner Kunal Goomer.

Speaking to a source, Ameesha confessed that she thoroughly enjoyed watching cricket and even cheered the Indian team at the World Cup. When asked about her interest in the IPL, beaming Ameesha replied “Yes, IPL is high on cards. I am in talks with couple of people to form a team as a co-owner and brand ambassador."

In a grand celebration organised by the American Indian Association, Los Angeles on August 15 2011, Ameesha Patel has been conferred the title of Grand Marshal. Nearly 1, 500 Indians participated in the celebration and Ameesha Patel hoisted the flag. The beautiful actress was also bestowed a trophy for her contribution to the Indian cinema.
