Confirms Chitrangada, who is all set to kick start the shooting of this film in May this year, "Yes, this one will be an altogether different film for me in terms of theme and setting. After Yeh Saali Zindagi, we want to now shift gears and get into a different territory altogether."
Tongues are expected to start wagging again, now that Chitrangada would be working in her third film with Sudhir Mishra after Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi and Yeh Saali Zindagi. However, the gorgeous beauty shrugs away insinuation, if any, with a smile. "Somehow Sudhir writes some amazing female characters for his films", she says, "He has a room full of scripts and when this film about sexual exploitation at workplace came my way, I was quite sure that I wanted to do it."
In the past, there have been films attempted on the similar theme but without much success. In fact Hello Darling which featured Gul Panag, Celina Jaitley and Eesha Kophikar along with Javed Jaffrey was presented as a comedy and was an apology of a film. The last film which dealt with this issue seriously was Basu Chatterjee's Sheesha (1986) which featured Mithun Chakraborty and Mallika Sarabhai. However, not many remember that film. With Arjun Rampal (who has earlier worked with Prakash Jha in Raajneeti) coming into picture, the film only promises a far wider commercial reach.
"Well, we would ensure that this film indeed turns out to be pretty memorable", smiles Chitrangada.
Meanwhile there is something quite interesting up her sleeves but she isn't willing to show all her cards as yet. "There is another interesting film that I would be starting this year. It has me excited ever since I confirmed it but then I would rather wait till the official announcement comes in," she signs off.
