Actor
Arjun
Rampal
will
be
seen
playing
the
role
of
a
cop
from
a
backward
town
of
Uttar
Pradesh
in
the
film
Jai
Ramji.
It
is
after
Salman
Khan's
Chulbul
Pandey
role
in
Dabangg,
that
Arjun
is
coming
up
with
a
similar
cop's
role.
However
the
actor
and
the
director
of
the
film
Tigmanshu
Dhulia
say
that
they
are
not
going
to
copy
the
style
of
Chulbul
Pandey.
The
director
says
that
this
character
of
Arjun
Rampal
in
Jai
Ramji,
will
change
the
notion
of
the
people
that
a
small
town
cop
in
north
India
is
like
Chulbul
Pandey.
He
says
that
there
are
a
lot
of
cops
who
are
well
educated
and
wise.
The
director
tell
Mid
Day
,
“Arjun's
character
of
the
cop
is
as
much
into
aesthetics
and
arts
as
he
is
into
nabbing
hardcore
criminals.
I
want
him
to
spend
at
least
two
weeks
in
preparation.
I
don't
want
him
to
just
wear
khaki
and
behave
like
a
filmy
cop."
His
character
as
a
cop
is
also
a
connoisseur
of
French
wines
and
Hindustani
classical
music
in
the
film.
While
Arjun
is
already
knows
how
to
recognise
French
wine,
he
will
be
learning
the
nuances
of
Hindustani
classical
music
for
the
role.
The
shooting
for
Jai
Ramji
will
start
from
this
month
and
is
based
on
a
real
cop
from
Allahabad.
Looks
like
this
role
is
another
challenge
for
actor
Arjun
Rampal,
who
has
been
proving
himself
with
each
character
that
he
has
played
on-screen.
