The
makers
of
just
four
days
old
film
Bbuddah
Hoga
Terra
Baap,
starring
Amitabh
Bachchan,
are
planning
on
making
the
film
a
franchise.
Inspired
by
Ajay
Devgn's
Golmaal,
Salman
Khan's
Dabangg,
Hrithik's
Krrish
and
Shahrukh
Khan's
Don,
the
director
Puri
Jagannath
wants
Big
B
to
endorse
the
Bbuddah
franchise.
Reportedly,
when
Jagannath
wrote
the
script,
he
never
thought
that
the
character
will
turn
out
to
be
so
popular.
But
gradually,
the
director
has
fallen
in
love
with
the
character
and
wants
to
carry
it
forward.
Apparently,
Jagannath
has
met
Mr
Bachchan
and
has
suggested
a
sequel
for
the
film.
Initially
Amitabh
did
not
take
the
offer
seriously,
but
now
he
has
left
the
decision
solely
to
the
director.
When
TOI
contacted,
Jagannath
informed,
“Yes,
I've
received
innumerable
messages
and
phone
calls
asking
me
to
make
another
film
with
Big
B's
Bbuddah
character.
I
think
a
Bbuddah
franchise
is
a
wonderful
idea.
I'm
working
on
it."
Even
though
the
plans
are
too
immature
at
the
moment,
Puri
has
decided
on
casting
Sonu
Sood
as
Amitabh
Bachchan's
son
in
Bbuddah
Hoga
Terra
Baap
sequel.
The
director
explained
that
Sood
has
an
uncanny
resemblance
to
the
angry,
young
cop
in
Zanjeer.
“Sonu
was
chosen
to
play
Mr
Bachchan's
son
over
Abhishek
(Bachchan)
because
of
the
novelty
value.
And
so,
his
role
will
remain
in
the
franchise," confirmed
Jagannath.
