Bollywood stars offer condolences to Pataudi family

Bollywood film industry has been shocked by the sudden death of Saif Ali Khan's father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, who was one of India's finest and youngest cricket captains. Several B-Town stars took to their Twitter pages to share their sorrow over the demise of the cricketer, who was hospitalised on August 29 following his lung infection.

On their Twitter pages, Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Javed Akhtar, Filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor, Shekhar Kapur, Madhur Bhandarkar, Neha Dhupia, Shreya Ghoshal, Riteish Deshmukh and several others recalled their fond memories with Pataudi. They also offered their heartfelt condolences to Pataudi family.

The first B-Town man to mourn the death of Mansoor Ali Khan was none other than Amitabh Bachchan, who first tweeted, “Sad news .. Tiger Pataudi passes away .. !!!" Later, he added, “Fond memories of the past with Tiger Pataudi .. his wedding, playing cricket with him, his tabla playing prowess, social evenings .."

Then came a host of actors, actresses, singers and filmmakers, who expressed their shock over Pataudi's sudden demise. Arbaaz Khan tweeted, “RIP Tiger Pataudi. One of the India's finest captains". Akshay Kumar wrote: Just heard about the sad demise of Tiger Pataudi, a thorough gentleman and leader, extremely sad news. Heartfelt condolences to the family...
