Ekta Kapoor detained at Mumbai Airport

Television and film producer Ekta Kapoor was detained at the Mumbai airport for suspected duty evasion on late Sunday night. Reportedly, Miss Kapoor was stopped at the airport and was booked for 'misdeclaration' of branded clothes and accessories worth a lakh.

Around 10:45 when she landed from Bangkok she was diverted from Green Channel. She was allowed to go off late at night, after a case was booked. She was caught by a team led by assistant commissioner Sameer Wankhede.

Airport officials and Ekta's representatives have not given any statements so far. This is not the first time that a celebrity is coming under the scanner for undeclared goods. Earlier actresses Anushka Sharma, Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba have also been booked by a case.
