Amitabh Bachchan remembers Goga Kapoor

Amitabh Bachchan remembers actor Goga Kapoor, who passed away on Wednesday after a prolonged illness. Amitabh, who has worked with Goga Kapoor in celebrated films like Toofan, Agneepath, Shahenshah, Jigar, posted on his micro-blogging site, “An old colleague from stage and film passes away .. Goga Kapoor! May his soul rest in peace! Played Othello on Delhi stage with me."

The 70 years old veteran who is well remembered as one of the best villains ruling the era of 80s and 90s of Bollywood started his career with the film Jwala in 1971. Goga basically belonged to the genre of theater artists. Amitabh added, “ 'Othello' was the Hindi translation that my Father did in the meter of Shakespeare .. I played Cassio in that stage play in Delhi."

Originally known as Ravinder Kapoor, Goga is now survived by his wife and three daughters. Some of his best works were Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Toofan, Agneepath, Shahenshah, Jigar, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya, Patthar Ke Phool, etc.
