Hrithik Roshan starrer Agneepath has fetched a satellite price of a whooping Rs 41 crore. This is the first time that a Bollywood movie has been paid so much by a channel.
Directed by Karan Johar, Agneepath will have Hrithik Roshan essay the famous role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, the role portrayed by veteran Amitabh Bachchan in the original film.
Aamir Khan's untitled film with Reema Kagti or even the most recent Shahrukh Khan's hyped film Ra.One hasn't fetched as much money as Agneepath.
Speaking to a leading newspaper, Jayantilal Gada of Pen India, the agency for the channel, confirmed the report and said that they choose Agneepath over other films as all of Hrithik Roshan's films barring Lakshya have done great business on television. He added, “The promos of Agneepath are a rage right now and that's why we put our bets on this film."
