Sanjay Kapoor, brother of Boney and Anil Kapoor is all set to remake the hit film Khel Khel Mein which had Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor playing the lead roles way back in 1975.

Gone are the days of sequels as film makers in Bollywood now see more scope in remakes. While the rights of yesteryear blockbusters such as Gulzar's Angoor, and Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Golmaal has been bought by director Rohit Shetty, you will also see David Dhawan recreate the magic of the 1981 hit film Chashme Buddoor, directed by Sai Paranjape.

Sanjay Kapoor has confirmed the remake of the film and added that Shibani Bathija who wrote the story of the movie Fanaa and My Name is Khan will script the story for the remake. Sanjay Kapoor, who bought the rights from producer Kamal Mukut said that he had to pay a heavy amount of money to acquire the rights. Ravi Malhotra, the original producer of the thriller film Khel Khel Mein had earlier sold the copyright of the film to Kamal Mukut.

Speaking to a source, the actor turned film maker who might direct the film himself has so far denied approaching any star to cast in the film.
