Filmmaker
Madhur
Bhandarkar,
whose
dream
project
Heroine
starring
actress
Aishwarya
Rai
Bachchan
got
shelved
after
the
pregnancy
news,
has
been
hitting
the
headlines
for
different
reasons.
Recently,
it
was
heard
that
Bhandarkar
has
once
approached
his
original
preference
Kareena
Kapoor
for
Heroine.
Later,
it
was
also
heard
that
there
is
a
tough
competition
between
Priyanka
Chopra
and
Kareena
for
this
Madhur
direction.
However,
putting
aside
all
the
speculations,
Bhandarkar
told
that
he
has
not
approached
any
other
actresses
for
the
film.
Though
Heroine
has
been
shelved
for
sometime,
Madhur
assured
that
the
film
will
be
revived
soon.
"Speculations
in
the
media
of
me
approaching
actresses
for
my
film
Heroine
are
totally
baseless.
I
will
decide
about
reviving
Heroine
after
consultations
with
UTV
or
a
fresh
film," said
Madhur
to
TOI.
Heroine
is
film
which
portrays
the
rise
and
fall
of
an
actress
in
the
film
industry.
The
script
of
the
film
was
originally
written
by
keeping
Kareena
Kapoor
in
mind,
however
the
actress
refused
to
do
the
film,
as
she
did
not
agree
with
few
of
the
concepts
of
Heroine.
Later,
world
beauty
Aishwarya
Rai
Bachchan
was
roped
in
for
the
film.
The
shoots
of
the
film
was
in
full
swing,
when
the
Bachchan's
announced
that
Aishwarya
was
five
months
pregnant
and
thus
will
not
be
doing
Heroine
anymore.
This
led
to
a
huge
loss
for
the
filmmakers,
UTV
and
Bhandarkar.
